Businesses today are constantly under pressure to deliver energy savings and most times they always look at big ticket consumers - such as Chillers, VRF's, Pumps, AHU's etc. However did you forget the Boiler Controls?
There are several energy saving retrofit alternatives that can be fitted onto cooling and heat pumps systems, but did you know about the retrofit controls for boilers?
All our Smart Building Control system retrofits are designed with LoRaWAN® Technology
Introducing our Smart therm Boiler Controller. It's an intelligent device that helps you monitor and manage your boilers remotely. Designed with LoRaWAN® technology, it ensures smarter, more efficient heating for businesses. By connecting to our thermostat and your boiler(s), it provides real-time data so you can optimise your heating system for better comfort and energy savings.

With our Smart therm system, you can monitor and adjust your heating from anywhere, ensuring maximum comfort and energy savings. Plus, you’ll receive instant alerts if there’s a boiler issue, allowing you to take quick action before small problems become big repairs.

Control Your Heating - Boiler Controls
Optimise the temperature of your heating system by using outside temperature, occupancy or artificial intelligence.
Leak Detection
The Smart therm system reads the current system pressure from the boiler, and sends automated alerts if the pressure drops.
Setpoint Controls
The Smart therm system has an internal heating curve and compensation controller, performing automated bypass of your system.
Smart Maintenance
The Smart therm system is ideal for maintenance contractors, property management companies and facility managers.
API Interface
The Sensgreen Cloud integrates seamlessly with your favourite management software, thanks to our powerful APIs and dedicated connectors. As a result, you can effortlessly synchronise and manage your data across platforms, enhancing your overall efficiency.
Easy Management.
Information is stored and accessible online, allowing for simplified and centralised monitoring of several thousand boilers. As a result, you can efficiently oversee and manage operations across a large number of locations from a single platform.
Application.
• The Smart therm reads the status and temperature of the connected boiler and thermostat.
• Optimise the heating in your building by controlling the setpoints of the boiler.
• The Smart therm has in internal heat curve and/or dewpoint controller.
• Works with or without a Smart therm thermostat.
• HVAC Installers and Building Owners can easily identify boiler error status and employ predictive maintenance.
Components.
• The device has 2 Smart therm connectors for connecting a boiler and thermostat.
• The device has an analog input and digital output to connect the device to a traditional Building Management System.
• The device consists out of a Microcontroller with LoRaWAN® and Bluetooth Low Energy communication modules.
• The device is adapted for wall mounting by screws or an optional 3M double sided tape.
• The device has an internal control programme for setpoint control of the boiler, it can be controller by the 0-10v input signal, thermostat, internal heating curve, internal room temperature compensation or internal dewpoint protection.
• The device has an internal temperature sensor to measure environmental conditions.
• The device has a an internal temperature sensor to protect the internal electronics from overheating.
Device Operation.
• The Smart therm requires an operational LoRaWAN® network to transmit data, however it can operate as a stand-alone device as well.
• The device is powered by an external 24VDC power supply or by using a 5VDC USB-C adapter.
• By default the device will relay the messages from the thermostat to the boiler without any changes.
• Configuration of the device is done using the mobile app or LoRaWAN downlinks.
• The log interval and parameters to be stored are adjustable from 5-60 minutes, the device will store the measured values in the internal storage of the device.
• The Smart therm transmits data over more then 2 km in an open space with a medium density of buildings.
• It’s recommended to add the device to the Sensgreen Platform, which allows detailed and easy monitoring of the data transmitted by the device.
Advantages.
• Because of it’s ability to operate stand alone or over the LoRaWAN network you save on cabling costs.
• Conversion of existing installations is not required because of the LoRaWAN module.
• The meter is manufactured in Europe by qualified engineers and CE certified.
• The device synchronizes time over the LoRaWAN network ensuring that the time is always accurate.
• Remote control of the heating allowing for lowering the energy consumption by lowering temperatures in unoccupied environments.
• When the boiler goes into alarm, the HVAC Installer can send a technician with the proper spare parts saving on manhours and repeated visits.
